Parenting Book Recommendations

It is extremely important to me for a book to align with my Christian values. The parenting advice needs to be based on the Bible and its teaching. I want my children to be brought up in a godly way, so that they live their life righteously and never steer off the right path. I also what them to grow up to be good people that love and care for others, as well as someone I can be friends with. 😛 I’ve read numerous books and still have more on my list to read. You should never stop seeking knowledge.

People often tell me I’m lucky. When they see my kids helping me in the kitchen or cook on their own, when they hear that my kids do their own laundry, when they see my kids behave while I shop, when they hear my kids eat veggies!!! They say, “Wow, you’re so lucky that your kids do that”. And it makes me wanna scream! Its not luck! Yes, I’m blessed to have kids. But I was given kids just as you were given kids. I’m not special.
It’s not luck. I didn’t have them just dropped onto my lap all perfect (well they kind of were in the beginning). But it’s not like my kids have a special “good kid” gene from somewhere.

Every human is born into this world with a selfish, sinful nature and we, the parents, get to have this wonderful privilege to raise them right.

The Perfect Summer Dress

Summer is not one of my favorite seasons. I’m not a fan of super hot temperatures. So I prefer to spend the hot days either indoors under the AC or on a beach/lake in a bikini. I don’t really enjoy being dressed up and sweating. But this dress is perfect for the hot days. I wore it all day at the park for a family reunion and even though it didn’t do the magic of keeping me cool and not sweaty, it for sure made it more bearable to not have fabric stuck to my skin. And it’s under $27!!! Plus, who doesn’t like a dress with pockets! I’m definitely getting more colors. Get one for yourself here. Pink summer midi dress button down

Our Turks and Caicos Review and Our Experience

I’ve seen people on trips in Turks and Caicos and on my bucket list it went, wishing I could to go there someday. Well, we were reaching our 10 year wedding anniversary and I thought, THIS IS THE DAY! Grace Bay Beach, in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, is one of the best beaches in the world, so heck yes!

I haven’t had a denim skirt since my mini’s in high school. This one is definitely not a mini but it’s super cute. I love the pockets and the buttons going down the front. The distressed detail on the bottom gives it a nice rough edge.

Ruffles are my favorite! Specifically the orange ones. The crunch. The saltiness. The cheesy flavor. (drooling). Uhem…okay, back to the outfit. I do love ruffles, though. This off the shoulder top is **insert drooling face with heart eyes emoji (they need to combine those two and make a new one)**, I had to get it in the pink as well. Pair it with these super cute, striped shorts and some heels and you got yourself a stunner, inexpensive date night ready look.

Who else loves peaches? I, personally, like to eat peaches. I like the color peach. I’m working on growing a peach, at the gym, if you know what I mean ;P . I also like anything that is strappy. So when I saw this skirt, I was drooling. For peaches, of course. Well, and the skirt. I just love the little strappy detail at the waist. It’s perfect paired with this white, lace trim cami, these gorgeous, white, STRAPPY shoes, and a few gold and neutral accessories. Can you tell I’m into strappy? Okay, I think I’m done saying that word.

We all want to have friends. Good friends. Proverbs 27:9(MSG) says, “…a sweet friendship refreshes the soul.” It sure does. Good friends are sometimes hard to find, though. We can not control the way other people are, but we do have control over the way we are. So, I think we should focus more on being the best friends that we can be and less on wishing/hoping for someone else to be a good friend to us.

Pink Trench Coat

It’s Spring! Or is it summer already?🤔 I love spring, but I feel like we only get like 3 days of it here and then it gets super hot. I also love trench coats. And spring is the perfect time to wear them. So if I could have a good month of warm/cool weather, so I could enjoy wearing my trench coats, that’d be great, thanks. Also, this cami is my fave! I have it in 2 colors and I’m thinking of getting more. I like how it’s not a super low neckline and I don’t have to worry about my undergarments (haha, who even uses that word?), showing. It’s perfect for layering and will definitely be a go-to in the summer.
